Armadillo Offroad was formed by father, Chris Legg and son, Jake. With a shared passion for Jeeps and the outdoors, the two realized a common problem when packing up for their trip to Moab, Utah. Finding a safe storage place for the soft top Jeep windows. They almost always get rolled up and then stuff thrown on top of them and end up crimped and scratched up more and more after each trip with the top off. The two set out to create a product that not only protected the windows but was able to be stored easily in the limited space of a Jeep and also easy to use.
The Armadillo Wrap, named by Jake, after the unique way the armadillo rolls up for protection is consistent with the premise and process used with this product. All three of the Jeep’s soft top windows fit in this storage device. They slide into an envelope, rolled up on their short edge and secured using velcro straps. Because of the process and the soft fabric of the wrap the windows are contained in a very rigid form and protected against damage from gear being tossed on top of it when heading out on the trail.
When ready to reinstall, the windows unroll easily from the wrap, and zip back into place without all the creases and scratches that typically happen when not using this soft top window storage device. The device is also machine washable for easy cleaning to protect against dirt build-up in the device.
Armadillo Offroad, founded in 2018 is a division of the BlueFin Agency.
